Could I beg for one or possibly two page edits before part 2 goes live?
On page 33, where Suou's about to do the flower switch, the bubble says "to that, you are..." Can it say "next to that"? (makes a little more sense that way.)
(I should've realized 'compared' would be hard to fit into that size of bubble... one of the hazards of translating without ever having done editing! Sorry about that...)
Also, if you're feeling madly ambitious, on page 35, Rion's comment about "I don't know him, that idiot!" didn't show up when Shian was asking where he was...
As ever, I'm completely floored by the way you do sound effects replacements and stuff like that -- you guys have got to read this! ^____^
Ed: I'm feeling a little less stupid for not having been able to read o-suikei or whatever that comment was when Rion was taking guesses. I posted a link to a snip of Carole Ann's scan on Animelyrics.com and asked the native Japanese speakers there to take a guess at what it was supposed to be (just to throw something in, and knowing Yuki Kaori's types of stories, I guessed 'ex-boytoy' to go with 'ex-girlfriend' and 'foreigner'.) Of the three native Japanese speakers who've looked at it, no two of them have agreed on what it's supposed to be -- two different potential kanji readings, although someone did agree with my guess that it was o-suikei, and of the two who got the same reading I did, there are two entirely different guesses about what that means. ^^;;;; I'm hoping for a tie-breaker, but it's kind of a bitsy detail point that doesn't really matter to the handling of the story, it's just that I'm a ravening perfectionist... ^^;;;;;;;;;; I want to know what it is just because I want to know! It's bugging me... but at least it's not *just* ignorance on my part if native Japanese speakers are having a problem both making it out and figuring out what it means too... @_@

Awww, shucks [img]cool.gif[/img] The hardest part for me about doing the sound effects is deciding what font I want to use for it. I have too many fonts -_- (half I've never gotten the chance to use. I just have them because I think they're neato [img]biggrin.gif[/img] ).

Err... can you do the scans a little bigger next time? They are... small.
BTW: Krankenhaus is hospital. It's a common german word. Funny idea to name a host club after this.
Oh I have even another pleasure to ask: Can you scan the cover image in a great size? I probably would like to do a wallpaper or something. [img]wink.gif[/img]
edit: I just figured out that the scans have the same size as ever. Don't know why they seem so small to me. [img]confused.gif[/img]
edit2: May it be the quality is worse because of the .gif format? Why are they not in .jpg?

I love the german language, it's so literal. Krankenhaus, and Krankenwagon for ambulance. Heheheh.
I was so nervous about opening the zip file. But I think I'm going to like this story. (Hey, I like host clubs...) I reckon the publisher's will have to give the go ahead to continue it, Yuki K has enough devoted fans to make it worth while.

I got a pronuciation question. How do you say suou? I've been saying it like Sue-Ow but im sure thats wrong. And Rion is it Ree-On or Ry-On
Oh and Kanou is it Can-Ow or Ka-noo. I think my problem is mostly the ou combination...

I'm saying Rion like Leon, but with that l/r thing going on.
I'm no linguistic authority and romanji confuses me, so I'm probably not worth listening to, but I'd Suou was less Sue-ow and more Su. Ow, the "ou" on the end being a slightly longer sound than just a short "u" on it's own. Actually, I just thought- how does it differ from the name "Suoh"? Is it just a different romanisation?

Yep, the scans were from the phone book magazine, and I almost had a hernia when I saw the pages were actually PURPLE, and when I scanned them at about 300 DPI with a grey scale setting...it took a little longer than usual to do make it black and white. I've never had to work with turning something that was one color, to another, and make it LOOK like it was supposed to be that color in the first place. T_T

To be honest....I have no idea why I saved them as .gif either O_o;; But I went back and turned a couple edits to .JPGs and since both are at a greyscale setting, they both looked the same and were the same size. So really the only difference is the letters at the end of the file.
As for the cover image...do you mean the cover of the phone book? You'll have to ask Risu-chan about getting a scan...I never scanned the cover XD (Ooooppps)
Hmmm...don't know how to pronounce the names...hehe...maybe Risu-chan can shed some light on that as well.
